I. Number of Position: 1

II. Areas of expertise: Modern and Contemporary History of Taiwan

III. Qualifications:

1.Must hold a PhD in History, or related fields (with sufficient proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Chinese)

2.Within FIVE years before the application deadline, at least one of the following requirements must be met:

(1)Papers that have been peer-reviewed and formally published, or papers that have been accepted for publication and are accompanied by official documentation confirming their forthcoming publication.

(2)Monographs that have been peer-reviewed and officially published, accompanied by official documentation certifying the review and publication.

 

IV. Application documents: (Please provide documents in the following order.)

1.Doctoral Degree Certificate and documentation of academic qualifications and professional experience (Applicants holding degrees from foreign institutions must submit academic credentials authenticated by a Taiwan Overseas Representative Office.)

2.Doctoral Dissertation, Master’s Thesis, and other related works

3.Doctoral and Master’s Degree Transcripts (Applicants who already hold an official teaching certificate are not required to submit these documents. Applicants holding degrees from foreign institutions must submit academic credentials authenticated by a Taiwan Overseas Representative Office.)

4.Official Teaching Certificate (Applicants who have not yet obtained an official teaching certificate are not required to submit it.)

5.Curriculum Vitae (Please complete the Civil Service Curriculum Vitae Form provided by the Institute.)

6.A List of Publications

7.A Research Project

8.At least TWO syllabi for proposed courses

9.Chinese abstracts of representative works (including the Doctoral Dissertation)

10.Applicants who do not hold a doctoral degree but have obtained qualifications for professorship are also required to provide a copy of their certificate of qualification for professorship and relevant academic publications.

VI.Application Deadline: Applications must be received by the Institute by October 20, 2026. For email submissions, the date and time of transmission shall apply; for postal submissions, the postmark date shall apply. All deadlines are based on Taiwan Standard Time (UTC+8).

 

VII.Expected start date: February 1, 2027 or August 1, 2027
